Jem's WIERD JOURNEY back to health

Jem had a tumor on her upper eyelid.

It had grown quickly and would be difficult to remove.

You see, if the surgeon took too much off she would never again be able to close her eye properly.

That's why she was sent to an excellent board certified surgeon.

But the cost would be around $4000.00

Jem had been on Apoquel for years.

Apoquel predisposes a dog to cancer by affecting the immune system. Risks from Apoquel include immunosuppression: allowing skin infections, severe infections (e.g., pneumonia), or infections with parasites like Demodex to worsen. It may increase the risk of developing tumors.

That tumor was a turning point for her Mom and Jem was taken right off Apoquel.

She asked if I could do anything for the tumor other than surgery and sent me a picture. I replied, "Easy Peasy!" I told her that I didn't even have to see Jem, it could be a phone consult.

I've been using cancer salves for 40 years and they are incredibly effective for skin cancers such as Mast Cell Tumors of the skin. They always get the entire margin and, depending on the size of the skin tumor, need to be applied from 2-5 times.

When surgically removed, Mast Cell Tumors need a 2 inch margin on each side to assure the margins are clean.

Jem did have a cancer on her eye but we didn't know yet if it was a Mast Cell or other kind of tumor. Regardless, there was no space for 2 inches to be cut away on all sides of the tumor with surgery.

And it would have worked on most any tumor.

THE NEXT STEP IN JEM'S JOURNEY WAS HANDLING HER ALLERGIES!

As Jem now had a history of a cancerous lesion we decide to treat her allergies with VSEL [Very Small Embryonic Stem Cells] as this protocol dramatically boosts, resets and improves immune function. Extra benefits include normalization of the immune system which handles allergies and all encompassing improvement in health and, incredibly, youth.

In the interim......while anticipating the VSEL treatment, something really strange happened.

She got films, an ultrasound and whatever was needed to figure out what was causing this constant intense pain. Nothing was obvious. No bone cancer, no pinched nerve.

From Radiology, she was sent right over to the Orthopedic Specialist. Then the Oncology Specialist and then the Neurologist.

Do you know what they came up with?

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

She was sent home on a new combo of pain meds.

[And they didn't work either.]

We had planned a VSEL Treatment for Jem for her allergies and immune system anyway.

Let's do it right now, I said.

It was the day after Christmas. I fit her in as there was no time to spare. Jem was in incredible pain.

She hardly went out to do her business and when she did the pain was unbearable for her and the shrieking was unbearable to her people.

LYME DISEASE

How many ticks are actually infected with Lyme Disease? That's a good question. Do you agree? Every time one of us pulls a tick off our dogs or off of ourselves... our chest tightens. The word LYME DISEASE flashes in big bold neon letters inside our heads.

Facts:

The Tick Lab Tests ticks from all over the country for tick-borne diseases.

About 21 % are infected with tick-borne disease.

Therefore, the chances are 1 in 5 [about] that the tick you pulled off is carrying a disease.

2. Experts in Lyme Disease state that dogs don't get Lyme Disease [like people do]. Dr. Meryl P Littman [and I knew her well] felt that dogs rarely got Lyme disease. A very rare but serious problem from a Lyme positive tick is Lyme Nephritis, which is an autoimmune disease of the kidney tubules [vaccination for Lyme would increase the predilection for this problem] That's why I recommend that any dog who has tested positive for Lyme Disease do a routine clean urine test once a year to check for protien, which is the first sign that Lyme nephropathy is present.

Do I recommend a month of Doxycycline for dogs who test positive for Lyme Disease with a C6 Antibody Test from IDEXX? I sure do. One major reason I do this is to help prevent that immune mediated glomerulonephritis in the kidney. I also give dogs a special homeopathic combination twice a week for 10 weeks or so to prevent complications.

But... the statistics don't lie........

Asymptomatic dogs who will never have a problem are at 95%.

All that said, 95% of dogs who test positive for Lyme disease are not affected at all by the disease. Let that sink in. Check out this peer reviewed publication.

When a dog gets stiff, lame and has a fever the first thing I do is check for tick borne diseases. One important tick borne disease rarely checked for is Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. This disease responds wonderfully to doxycycline and one a dog gets RMSF it has lifetime immunity.

So.. let's sum up the data above. Twenty percent or so of ticks are actually infected with Lyme Disease. 95% of dogs have no problem, no reaction and no illness even though they test positive for Lyme.

Add this up.

For the 5% of dogs who get really sick, how can you blame the tick when 95% of dogs don't have any problems even though the bacteria is transferred from the tick into the dog? Let's add this all up:

20% or so of all ticks in US carry Lyme. Other tick borne diseases are even less.
95% of adult dogs do not get any disease while a few have symptoms that resolve quickly. Puppies get joint symptoms which resolve on their own.
The flea and tick medicines have FDA warnings. People lose their dogs. Some dogs start with seizures and it last their entire lifetime. NO MATTER if it is oral, spot on or a collar it all enters their system.

Imagine you have cockroaches and your 2 year old niece visits often and crawls around. An exterminator is out of the question so you take old sponges from your laundry room, soak them in cockroach poison and put them around the house. The same thing is true for these products as you are making your dog or cat into a poison soaked sponge with all these poisons circulating through every blood vessel and organ 24 hours a day. Every month you add more but applying it again..... and it keeps building up.

You Find a Tick on your Dog or Cat- Here's an easy way to tell if it's carrying a tick-borne disease

Scenario:

You find an engorged tick on your pet.

It worries you.

Dogs, Cats and Humans can all get ticks.

What if this tick carrying a disease?

What if it was free to find out IF that tick is carrying any disease?

It would be wonderful to know

and to share what you find with others.

This is important for a number of reasons.

We all freeze up when we pull a tick off our pet as we don't know if it's a carrier.
Because of this some choose to chemically poison their pet with serious insecticides that they give orally or as a spot-on or collar in the name of 'prevention'.
It's the 'common' thing to do but not the healthiest for your pet. Nobody should 'wonder' why 1 in 2 dogs get cancer. Yet, many dogs who are on these poisons still contract a tick borne disease.
Many dogs who are not on ' preventives' get ticks once in awhile and never get a tick borne disease.
We also forget how important the immune system is. [This is a simple fix but is not going to be the subject of this newsletter.]

Let's get started.

I decided to test EVERY tick my dog gets in 2026!

He runs in different woods every day in his morning outings and gets about 50 ticks per year.

He gets NO poisonous spot on or oral preventive products. I test him for tick-borne diseases 3 times a year for good measure. Always negative.

So how many of these ticks actually carry disease?

I realized I had no idea.

I purchased these cheap tiny vitamin bags

as you need to put the tick in a plastic bag [one tick per test] and enclose the form you filled out online in the same envelope.

All it takes is:

Fill out the form
Put the tick in a little plastic bag
Address the envelope and put in the tick and the form
Put on one regular stamp
Mail it

Here are my results:

They even tell you how long it was engorged for. I must say, I was not looking for ticks in March when it was so cold. This tick was engorged for 100 hours.

Tuscan's Life has Changed!

I am writing to thank you for the incredible care you have provided to my dogs over the years. I first discovered your book, "Natural Dog," in 2008 while working in the pet food industry, and your recipes became a staple for my Giant Schnauzer. You later helped him through an ACL injury with great success.

Meet Zubi, his Mom and get a bonus Ted Talk by her about our best friends!

Zubi had severe anxiety and allergies

Testimonial:

I am a pet parent who has spent much of my life with the companionship of a dog. I have always had a purebred dog. I now have my first rescue dog. I knew the breeders for my purebred dogs and knew for the most part what I was getting. My little rescue dog, Zubi, came with a puppy mill history and a level of anxiety ten times bigger than his 22-pound body. He has been with us for six years. It took a long time for him to even acknowledge me with eye contact. He burrowed himself into corner spaces to avoid being picked up. Over time and with a lot of work he is now very trusting of me. I am his safety net in his world of fear. And he fears everything, I often think how hard it must be to not be able to feel comfortable in your surroundings. I have taught him nose work for fun; he goes on walks, loves to run in his fenced in backyard and considers himself a wizard at canine puzzles. I make his food and give him only natural treats.

Despite this semblance of a “normal” life, Zubi experiences anxiousness a lot. At home with myself and my husband he is relaxed. However, if my husband wears a new hat or jacket that is new to Zubi, he barks a lot. He barks at my grandsons who are here a lot.

A behavioral trainer told me Zubi is trying to bark the fear away.

For the last six years I have been trying to find a solution for his anxiety. I have tried everything, it seems. Over-the-counter calming supplements, CBD oils- anything I felt was safe to give him, but nothing worked. I finally gave in and decided to try the meds his local veterinarian prescribed. Within two weeks on these meds Zubi began liking and itching a lot and it continued to get worse with every day. Our groomer told me he was losing a lot of hair on his legs, and his skin was very irritated. I knew I had to do something, and I did not want to have a vet put him on another med.

I had been following Dr. Khalsa for several years through her newsletter and always found her work educational and helpful. I thought it would be worth consulting with her. Dr. Khalsa came to the rescue. She assessed Zubi’s allergies and sent me a treatment for each one. The treatment is so easy to do. There is a vial for each treatment that you do for a set amount of time. You hold the vial up to the dog’s abdomen for that amount of time and that is it. When Zubi saw the vial in my hand he would come to me and ask to sit in my lap. He seemed to love the energy of the treatments, and we both loved the time together.

Within a week, the itching stopped. Within two weeks into the treatments, the groomer said his hair was growing back. At the end of a month’s time there was no licking at all, and the body hair was fully back and there was no irritation of the skin at all.

Tsunami was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease of his bones, caused by vaccines

Hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD) is a canine bone disease that affects mainly large breed dogs, including the Weimaranar. Studies show a link between recent vaccination and the onset of HOD in this breed.

In an attempt to help him with his pain, Heidi had scheduled a massage for Tsunami

That happened to be with Ronni and she referred Heidi over to me. I don't know if you remember Remy and his VSEL treatment. Heidi didn't know about VSEL cells and Ronni had no idea how well VSEL cell treatments reverse and eliminate autoimmune disease.

Tsunami was in a lot of pain.

His bones were being both destroyed and deformed.

You can see the strange lumps on his joints.

The Long and Short of HOD

HOD is an autoimmune disease, in which the body attacks it's own tissues.

With HOD blood flow deceases to the bones next to the joints.

This interrupts bone formation.

The disease is very painful.

So painful, that often times, painkillers do not work.

Large breed dogs are very susceptible.

It is treated with immune suppressants.

It can reoccur in the same dog over and over again.

It can also involve the jaw bone, spine, ribs, shoulders , and eye socket bones.

Dogs commonly develop pneumonia from the drugs given to suppress the immune system so they are placed on preventative antibiotics.

The Veterinary Journal Article:

"A link between the development of HOD and vaccination has been suggested, with the observation that 5/6 Weimaraner pups developed HOD within 10 days of receiving their second vaccination with a modified live vaccine containing canine distemper virus (CDV) and canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2) and one pup relapsed five days after receiving an attenuated canine parvovirus (CPV) vaccine (Abeles et al., 1999). The evidence of a link between HOD and certain vaccines was further substantiated by a study showing that HOD occurred in Weimaraner puppies after vaccination with a polyvalent vaccine containing at least CDV, CAV-2 and Leptospira bacterin, but not after a monovalent vaccine containing CPV (Harrus et al., 2002). Five out of eight dogs with a confirmed diagnosis of hypertrophic osteodystrophy in a recent study developed clinical signs after vaccination."

Tsunami was not feeling well at all.

Multiple bones around his joints were already deformed. He was only 7.5 months old. I didn't tell Heidi, but Tsunami looked like a dog who knew he was not going to survive. He did not have the typical Weimaraner personality, he was emaciated, nervous and very upset and tense.

When Heidi and Tsunami left for their 2.5 hour drive back, I exclaimed that he looked like a different dog already! His head was up, his tail was not tucked and he was even walking better.

Heidi wrote me three days later that he was indeed a different dog!

Healthy and moving well, stretching more and he had a totally different expression.

Less than 14 days after his treatment, Heidi writes......

"What an incredible transformation Tsunami made! Since receiving treatment, he has absolutely blossomed into a strong, vibrant, and robust puppy. Plain facts about RABIES VACCINATIONS- Important Information

In today's newsletter, I will cover essential information concerning Rabies vaccinations.

Studies show the Rabies Vaccine provides immunity far longer than 3-years.

Research from the Rabies Challenge Fund trials has confirmed that the rabies vaccine can induce a duration of immunity in dogs well beyond three years. The study also highlights that antibodies are the most significant protective factor against the virus.

The Rabies vaccine often infers lifetime immunity to humans.

Furthermore, veterinarians and veterinary nurses who received the pre-exposure series vaccinations, or an adequate titer check one to three years after their initial series, are considered to have long-term, potentially lifelong protection. A few articles state a 10 year duration, but I know veterinarians and veterinary technicians who get their titers tested every 3 years for 30 years with satisfactory titers.

Rabies was considered to be adequately prevented on a single initial vaccine in 1960.

In 1960 the standard practice for rabies prevention in dogs was indeed centered on a single initial vaccination. Mandatory Rabies vaccination of dogs was also implemented by 1960. The shift toward an initial Rabies booster followed by a booster one year later was implemented in 1978.

Dr Schultz commented …

“The recommendation for annual re-vaccination is a practice that was officially started in 1978. This recommendation was made without any scientific validation of the need to booster immunity so frequently. In fact the presence of good humoral antibody levels blocks the anamnestic response to vaccine boosters just as maternal antibody blocks the response in some young animals.”

In India Rabies is Epidemic.

Frighteningly, 96% of Human Rabies cases in humans is due to dog bites in India.

Many US veterinarians go over to India to volunteer, giving Rabies vaccines to feral dogs. They give the vaccine, then notch the dog's ear allowing people to be able to tell which dogs are 'safe'. No one asks when the canine got the vaccine. One vaccine is trusted. It is now a legal requirement in India to give a puppy the first Rabies vaccination at 14-16 weeks old followed by a booster at 1 year of age.

RABIES IS A SERIOUS DISEASE

The Bat strain is the most common cause of Rabies infection in both humans and pets. Only about 1% of bats have Rabies, but because their bite marks are so small, they can go unnoticed. If you wake up and find a bat in your bedroom you need to follow up at a medical facility. The Bat strain of Rabies is found in 49 of the contiguous US States. Raccoons are the most common of the reported rabid wildlife species.

It is important to remember that the Rabies vaccine is highly effective and provides significant protection. To offer some perspective, professionals in the veterinary field remain very secure in their own immunity for decades; their initial vaccine protocols continue to protect them, with titers tested every three years to confirm ongoing safety.

However, we must consider the broader context.

It is not necessarily in the pharmaceutical industry’s best interest to promote the long-term efficacy of Rabies vaccines. This is also true for Distemper and Parvo boosters, which are viral vaccines that often provide lifelong immunity.

We also have to navigate the township/state and veterinary requirements.

Some townships readily license pets without proof of vaccination, while others conduct house-to-house checks. Similarly, requirements can vary significantly between different veterinary practices.

Given these complexities, you might wonder why we don’t simply administer these vaccines repeatedly to avoid the hassle.

The reason we must instead assess what is truly best for our dogs and cats is because this is the most dangerous vaccine our pets get.

I lived and practiced in New Zealand for almost 20 years. There is no Rabies in New Zealand so, of course, the dogs and cats do not need Rabies vaccines.

I found my patients to be much healthier.

Deciding on the best rabies vaccination schedule for your pets would include: the lifestyle of the pet and potential exposure, the existing vaccination history of the pet, the township and state requirements and, importantly medical complications from the vaccine itself.

Anaphylaxis is the most severe reaction after canine rabies vaccination, with postvaccination anaphylaxis resulting in death in some dogs. The definition of anaphylaxis includes the following clinical signs: facial swelling, difficulty breathing, collapse, cyanosis and hypothermia observed after vaccination. This is considered a severe medical emergency. If your dog or cat has had this reaction after the Rabies vaccine, it is usually accepted as a reason to be exempt from future Rabies vaccines. This is a very severe allergic reaction and is likely to repeat itself.

THE RABIES VACCINES WE'VE BEEN USING FOR DECADES

These vaccines- with one example being Merial (now Boehringer Ingelheim)- for dogs are made from an inactivated or "killed" rabies virus (Pasteur strain). Because the virus is inactive, it cannot cause rabies in dogs. These vaccines use a killed-virus formulation with an adjuvant to stimulate a strong immune response.

In 1991, my alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, was the first to recognize Vaccine-Associated Sarcoma (VAS) in cats, specifically linked to the rabies vaccine. This aggressive and deadly fibrosarcoma frequently appeared between the shoulder blades which was the standard site for injections at the time.

As the issue became impossible to ignore, veterinary protocols shifted. Students were taught to administer injections in the hind leg to allow for limb amputation if a tumor developed. Dogs can also develop Vaccine-Associated Sarcomas... consequently, many veterinary schools began to advocate for administering the rabies vaccine at the end of a dog's tail.

While fibrosarcoma is the most common form of VAS, the vaccines can also trigger other malignant, rapidly growing, and highly invasive cancers, including rhabdomyosarcoma, myxosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, malignant histiocytoma, and undifferentiated sarcoma.

I recently examined a small dog presenting with a massive swelling that encompassed the entire thigh of the right rear leg. The patient was in severe pain and required significant analgesia. Although a previous needle aspirate suggested a slow-growing neurofibroma or general cellulitis, the rapid progression—where the mass grew larger than the thigh itself in less than two weeks—indicated a much more aggressive pathology. His people decided not to amputate the leg at his age and he was sent to Doggy Heaven. These tumors often metastasize.

Upon examination, I noted the swelling was located exactly where the rabies vaccine had been administered six months prior. I contacted the pathologist to suggest a diagnosis of myxosarcoma based on the injection site history. The pathologist confirmed this was a high probability, noting that they had not previously been informed of the vaccination history at that specific site.

I am sharing this experience to highlight how quickly these vaccine-induced tumors can develop and to emphasize the importance of monitoring injection sites. It is a stark reminder of the serious complications that can arise from the rabies vaccine.

Yet, if you need to get a Rabies vaccine, this vaccine made from killed Rabies virus is the one to choose.

That's because the new one I am covering next is far, far, far worse than this simple killed virus Rabies vaccine.

I would like to highlight that the three-year vaccine, Merial Imrab 3 TF, is a thimerosal-free formulation that provides three years of protection against rabies.

It is free of mercury and states a 3-year duration.

MY CANCER PREVENTION PROTOCOL: ADMINISTER WHEN GIVING A RABIES VACCINE

I suggest administering a product called Monolaurin by Ecological Labs, using the 300 mg tablet for smaller dogs and the 600 mg tablet for larger dogs. It's natural ingredient, which is present in mother's milk, stops a virus in it's tracks {including a cancer virus}. I like to give one pill twice a day for a week before the vaccine and then twice a day for 10 days after the vaccine.

DO NOT EVER GIVE THIS VACCINE

NEVER EVER EVER

While this vaccine is marketed as a safer alternative because it lacks mercury and traditional adjuvants, I strongly advise against administering it to your pets. Based on initial reports I am receiving, the potential illnesses associated with this new technology appear to be significantly more severe than those associated with the traditional vaccine, which has a much longer safety record.

It's brand new. But they know it's safe because they did a private, in their own laboratories 14 day study and killed the study dogs on day 15.

THE STUDY LASTED 14 DAYS- that's it?? The ONLY study?

Following a 14-day observation period, [after the vaccine was given] 92% of the test subjects were euthanized just one day later. Why not watch them for a few years to get all the data?

It's time for me to share some urgent concerns regarding the introduction of mRNA technology into veterinary medicine, specifically concerning new mRNA pet vaccines.

While mRNA and gene-editing technologies like CRISPR are often promoted on the web for their yet uncertain potential in treating human diseases such as cancer, there are significant undisclosed risks and a lack of long-term safety data, which are especially troubling.

My concerns regarding mRNA/CRISPR technology and safety include:

Gene Editing:

Cut a piece out of your pet's DNA. Is this registering? Take a chunk out and put in a new chunk with a message to produce a foreign protein.

Mechanism of Action: mRNA vaccines deliver a message [mRNA is a messenger] instructing cells to produce a spike protein. This foreign protein thereafter circulates through the body. Gene editing (CRISPR) permanently alters the recipient's DNA in multiple organs and tissues throughout the body.

CRISPR technology is primarily used to edit, modify, or cut existing DNA/RNA.

After it's cut a new gene is inserted in your pet's DNA. Permanently.

These proteins will now be produced constantly. The DNA is literally altered and the cells now have a messenger [mRNA] in their altered DNA which is continually instructing them to produce this foreign protein.

The data MERCK puts out states that the cells will make a foreign protein for a short time. Their study was for 14 days! How could they possibly know this?

There was a very good reason the study lasted only 14 days and it is very, very telling........

Pharmaceutical companies PLAN a study using data collected from under-the- radar studies to decide when to end their 'publicized study. Oddly, their publicized study ends before the adverse effects occur. How do I know this? I have had many people as clients who work for these companies. It is common practice.

A 14 day study?

Euthanizing just about all of the dogs a day after the study ended?

But knowing the vaccine will last for 3 years?

Are you getting suspicious yet? I certainly hope so !!

Lack of Long-Term Safety Data: The pet studies for these new mRNA vaccines are concerningly short with Merck’s Nobivac NXT study lasting only two weeks, involved 38 dogs, and 35 of the dogs were euthanized immediately after the 14-day study period.

Gee, if wanted to know all the safety data I would have kept the study dogs alive for at least a year. What are they trying to cover up? How would Merck know that the vaccine is good for 3 years if the did not check things out 3 years later?

OK OK I'm repeating myself... it's hard even for me to fathom this duplicity.

This raises serious questions about the industry practice of ending studies before potentially serious side effects (such as seizures, cancer, or organ failure) might appear.

Testing Transparency: The findings from Merck’s own Intervet lab over those 14 days were neither peer-reviewed nor made public. In other words, the study was not performed by an independent lab and it was fast tracked through the FDA.

This study was NOT peer reviewed!

Gee, this should reassure pet owners that this is a safe product.

Merck’s new SA RNA-based vaccines (SA RNA, or self-amplifying RNA) that are currently rolling out in the U.S include:

Method of Action: These vaccines are altering your pet's genome and DNA.

- Novibac NXT Rabies Vaccine (for dogs and cats)

- Novibac NXT Feline Leukemia Vaccine (for cats)

- Novibac NXT Canine Flu Vaccine (for dogs)

Remember the vaccines noted above! Do NOT use them.

These proteins being created by the vaccine within their body have been shown, in humans, spread through and invade many different organs, including the brain.

Merck noted the adverse reactions in dogs from their 14 day study which included increased aggression, excess salivation, seizures, vertigo, paralysis, and death.

Is this registering? This is from a 14 day study, shortened to hide the 'real bad problems by euthanizing the subjects in the study right away. Maybe they could have found those cute Beagles a good home and followed them up.

I already have a patient with increased aggression after the Merck Noviback NXT vaccine and I am already getting emails from pet owners after their dogs received this mRNA vaccine and they are describing the above symptoms.

Let's review and reiterate:

The USDA has quietly approved Merck Animal Health NOBIVAC self-amplifying mRNA vaccine.

Note the word : 'SELF AMPLIFYING'

mRNA stands for messenger RNA.

This 'vaccine' permanently alters your dogs' and cats' DNA [their genome is changed!] because a new gene is spliced in [a piece of the gene is hacked out to make room for the new bit] and this new bit of the genome sends out mRNA, which tells the cells to create and spew out some foreign protein in multiple organs and into their blood stream.

Below is part of their advertisement. They assume you will have no idea what it means!

Foreign proteins are implicated in autoimmune disease, allergies, cancer, organ failure, neurological disease and myocarditis. That's the short list.

Foreign spike proteins work fast to create disease. The historical statistic over the last decade is that one in two dogs will get cancer. Foreign spike proteins could potentially increase this to 8 in 10 dogs. Our dogs are exposed to RoundUp [glyphosate] from the ground they walk on and in their processed foods, along with so many other carcinogens. THEY REALLY DON'T NEED THIS, TOO. This vaccine has the potential to greatly increase a multitude of diseases with emphasis on allergies and cancer.

It makes the rabies vaccine that we have been using for decades almost look good!

The Evolution of Pet Vaccines

A Multi- Billion dollar enterprise

Let’s start around 1981. This was the time women began to have a noteworthy presence in veterinary schools. There were only 14 veterinary schools in the US. In fact, it was the most difficult professional school to be accepted to. Medical school was my 'back-up'. Veterinary medicine was not ‘fancy’. Ultrasounds were just taking off in veterinary medicine. There were not enough veterinarians to go around. Interestingly, my first job paid the normal salary of the time- $21,000 a year for 40-50 hours a week.

In the 60’s and 70’s veterinarians were just too busy. They didn't need to send ‘reminder cards for vaccines’ to keep their income stable.

In fact- and this is an important part for your understanding- they only gave puppy vaccines. Lifelong vaccine programs with yearly reminders did not exist in the 60's and 70's.

As more and more vaccinations were administered, diseases due to a 'messed up' immune system exploded onto the scene.

VACCINES CONFUSE THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

CAUSING ALLERGIES... and more

Vaccines, because of how they work, cause the immune system's 'computer program' to become corrupted.

You see, they have a lot more than the viruses you paid for. They have foods, along with adjuvants.

So we wind up with 1-2 dogs having ALLERGIES, ITCHING, IBD and lot's of other diseases. [including cancer]

An allergy occurs when the immune system considers what should be a 'friend'[chicken, grass] as an 'enemy'.

Which shots are actually necessary?

What's important in the puppy booster vaccines are the Parvo and Distemper.

Here's what's SUPER IMPORTANT TO KNOW.

A viral vaccine is good for life.

Just like your Polio vaccine.

One Parvo Vaccine after 16-18 weeks of age is good for life.

One Distemper Vaccine after 16-18 weeks of age is good for life.

Avoiding Vaccines with Titer Testing.

Do you have to do these blood tests over and over again?

The answer is NO

So, to make sure that all is OK with your dog's immunity, you decide to do a special Titer test...... an immunological test for immunity.

Oftentimes you pay for these Titer blood tests every year, over and over again.

And yet, Dr. Ronald Schultz states that one positive titer test indicates the pet is immune FOR LIFE.

Titer tests are easily available at most veterinary laboratories. Hemopet.org does this test and the owner can send blood in directly for a greatly discounted price.

Now you know:

Viral vaccines [Distemper and Parvo] are good for life if one vaccine for each is given after 16-18 weeks of age.
A positive blood Titer test for either Parvo or Distemper indicates the patient is immune for life.

Distemper and Parvo are considered CORE vaccines by the AVMA, as is the Rabies Vaccine. [A newsletter will follow this one- explicitly on the Rabies vaccine.}

ALL of the Other Vaccines are NON- CORE Vaccines per the AVMA.

It's important that I reiterate that vaccines are the main reason we are seeing so many allergies, food intolerances, food sensitivities and cancer cases in our pets. [Along with other diseases.]

We're now going to go over bacterial vaccines and Non- Core Vaccines. Bacterial vaccinations are not good for life. In fact, some of them don't work at all, some work for a very short time [a matter of months- not years] and a few have serious side effects.

Canine Non-Core Vaccines
Non-core vaccines are optional vaccines that should be considered in light of the lifestyle of the pet. Several of the diseases involved are often self-limiting or respond readily to treatment. Vaccines considered as non-core vaccines are canine parainfluenza virus (CPiV), canine influenza virus, distemper-measles combination vaccine, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Leptospira spp., and Borrelia burgdorferi [Kennel Cough]. Vaccination with these vaccines is generally less effective in protecting against disease than vaccination with the core vaccines.

Non Core Vaccines

Bordetella [Kennel Cough] Vaccine

This vaccine does not protect againt Kennel Cough. Sound strange? Read on. It only slightly lessens the severity of a disease that is easily treated. And IF it works at all [according to U of PA] the duration is for about 3 months.

Leptospirosis Vaccine

There are many serotypes of Leptospirosis and the vaccine only covers a portion of them. Importantly, the Leptospirosis was taken out of the puppy booster shot mix about 40 years ago as dogs were getting seriously ill from this part of the combined booster shot. I could write several paragraphs on this vaccination. Once again, as it is a bacterial vaccine, the duration of immunity is short.

Lyme Vaccine

Canine Influenza Vaccine

Every year a new Influenza vaccine is created for humans. In fact, it has a 40-50% chance of hitting the mark. You see, they're doing their best to guess what viruses will come into play that year. But, why do they have to keep changing the Human Influenza Vaccine? The answer is that viruses mutate and change their characteristics very quickly and within in short time they do not resemble the original virus at all. In fact, a virus does not want to kill it's host because it dies when the host dies. It is a well known fact that viruses become less lethal and more benign over time which is why many epidemics ended.

Here's the rub: The Canine Influenza Vaccine is not recreated every year. It's the same virus that has been around for decades and by now, and has mutated into a 'horse of a different color' so to speak. So why are dogs getting this same Canine Influenza vaccine and why do folks imagine it will work?

CAT VACCINES

All of the other feline vaccines are NON-CORE vaccines

Why do we care about overvaccination?

We care because vaccines contain adjuvants, usually aluminum, which causes the immune system to go wild and react to anything and everything in the vaccine. It sort of like giving the military methamphetamines before they go into battle.

There are actually foods in vaccines. Chicken Embryo and Bovine Serum.

The computer of the immune system logs them in as an 'enemy'.
