Monday January 25, 2021 I contacted Dr. Khalsa requesting a consult to see if there was any homeopathic treatments or remedies that could keep our dog comfortable and afford us a little more time, as we were not prepared to loose her so suddenly. When Dr. Khalsa saw the size of the mass on the x-ray, she
immediately said it was not Hemangioscarcoma because they NEVER get that big. She was then emphatic that her spleen must be removed no later than Friday – 4 days later! She had to repeat that several times for it to sink in as we were worried about the dog’s age and surgery. Believing in Dr. Khalsa, the scramble was on to find a surgeon who would remove the spleen within days. If it weren’t for Dr. Khalsa, we would not still have this delightful dogs still with us. Thanks to Dr. Khalsa’s
experience as being first a traditional veterinarian and surgeon and then a Homeopathic veterinarian, she knew exactly what was needed long before a holistic approach be considered or taken. The mass was benign!
March 21 now, 2 months post surgery we have a dog full of vim and vigour- all thanks to the pressure to act quickly to remove the spleen. I am now concentrating on supporting the dog’s lymphatic, immune, elimination systems and giving dietary support all needed post a splenectomy.
Our biggest and heart felt thanks to Dr. Khalsa because without her extensive knowledge, our girl would have bled out, been gone from us and not still enjoying a good roll in the snow or chasing her beloved frisbee. Every moment of day with this dog is a gift – thank you, thank you.
