I’m a doctor in the field of mental health and I really care about helping people and making them feel better and happier.  

That’s why I get so overjoyed when our dog Maxie makes people happy- and he always does! 

He is beautiful, adorable and everyone loves him. 

He’s 11 years old and his name in full is Honorable Maximilian Alexander the Great Good, II.  He is a sweet 11-year-old Yorkie.

That’s why, when he was diagnosed almost a year ago with IBS, everyone - particularly his family, was devastated. The local doctors put him on a diet consisting only of hydrolyzed protein. Maxi’s diet had always consisted of real food, utilizing Dr. Khalsa’s recipes from her book, “Dr. Khalsa’s Natural Dog”.  So Maxi was not able to adjust to the hydrolyzed protein regime. Maxi felt the hydrolyzed protein was a mixture of chemicals, rather than food, which he had no appetite for.

He was also on a ton of medications (we stopped all of those after the consultation with Dr. Khalsa).

In the mid-1990s, I took my precious babies to her office in Yardley even though it was quite a distance from our home in North Wales, Pennsylvania. It was worth the trip because she was/is the best. Feeling distraught, I knew I had to find her again. I did some research on the Internet and was able to set up a consultation.

She immediately changed his diet to one of sourdough bread, goat, cheese/kefir, and whitefish.

He was suffering from having to go out for many, many bowel movements a day and they were clear liquid with a lot of blood… and he also had belly rumbling. I wrote to Dr. Khalsa that I had gotten everything she suggested right after our consult. Maxi loved the sourdough bread and goat cheese and ate it immediately with gusto. ALL of these GI the symptoms disappeared…immediately! There was no more clear liquid and there was no more blood and there was no more belly grumbling along with a normal number of bowel movements. As a result, my Maxi had a happier and calmer Mom.

I was ecstatic to go out and buy more!

During that consultation, Dr. Khalsa explained when diarrhea occurs there is always an imbalance in the microbiome of the gut. And that this diet regime would resolve it all quickly. And that happened. We were getting our Maxi back!

Since he has been clinically diagnosed with IBS, we followed up with the Allergy Elimination 4 Pets program that would permanently heal his intestines and eliminate further reactions to food.

He started on that immediately.  Now Maxi’s local doctors and his behaviorist agree to him being off all the medications except for the probiotic powder.

Maxi is happy and healthy again and eating normal, healthy food and we are overjoyed.

Maxi is our precious baby - our priority! And this has been a miracle! We are so grateful to Dr. Khalsa we say thank you every single day.
