Angelina is my sweet little tabby kitty who just turned 18 last month.
She is the last of my late wife Christine's "cat legacy".
Christine worked at an animal hospital and would bring home rescues on occasion. At one point we had 10!
Angelina however came to us from the outdoors as a baby. We found out she was sneaking food from our indoor/outdoor kitty Kassie at the time. So we took her into our home and she became part of our kitty family.
Christine named her Angelina because it seems like she came to us from Heaven as
an angel kitty.
After Christine passed, I continued to take care of our remaining kitties as best as I knew how so I could continue to give them happy, healthy kitty lives.
Since my main source of cat support ended when "whole-cat-health" newsgroup closed down, I have been looking more and more to Dr. Khalsa who has helped tremendously.
She was highly recommended in that group.
Dr. Khalsa previously helped my little Nadia polydactyl kitty with Allergy Elimination 4 Pets for allergies, and she lived to 23, as have several of my other kitties. I'm hoping Angelina gives me as many (or more) wonderful years. In her recent years we've been dealing with hyperthyroid, pancreatitis, and now (CRF) renal failure. All of which are under control as best as possible. In addition to our local vet, I owe a lot of that to
Dr. Khalsa, especially her CRF protocol.
Angelina can have great days and not so great days due to CRF, but they've been more great than not. I can tell when she's happiest when she lays upside down exposing her precious tummy, or snuggled up in her bed with her feet dangling out.
I've been seeing quite a bit of that lately.
During the times when Angelina is not feeling well and things seem hopeless, Dr. Khalsa always seems to have one more thing to
offer. Then Angelina rebounds and gets back to enjoying life again, whether that be watching squirrel antics, chasing a laser toy or purring on my lap.
Seeing how happy Angelina has been lately tells me we are doing the right things for her, and that just warms my heart. I'm ever grateful to Dr. Khalsa for helping to extend our
time together. Thanks Dr. Khalsa!
